On the upper floor of the winery, we find the Ranchers’ Hall, the main hall of the house. A long room with high ceilings, dominated by two bull heads and decorated with a curious gallery of portraits. These are the breeders of fighting bulls that this city and its province have produced over the last two centuries. We see each portrait accompanied by the colorful emblem and the brand with which the rancher identified his herd; some with more than one brand and brand, because they owned, simultaneously or over time, several ranches. It’s as if we were in the living room of the family home of a long line of Cordoba ranchers.

In the cupboard built into the wall, a charming group of naive figures in glazed and polychrome clay representing bullfighters ready for the bullfight, and about twenty lead figurines performing the various feats of the festival, from the Seville Cavalry Maestranza, catch our attention.

The show was inaugurated at the 1996 Nuestra Señora de la Salud Fair, a tribute event attended by cattle ranchers and their descendants. Two years later, also at the winery, the book “Ganaderías Cordobesas de Reses Bravas. Catálogo, 1795-1995” by José Campos González was presented. This book thanked all the cattle ranching families for the information, photographs, and documents they had generously provided to make both tributes possible.

The Cattle Ranchers’ Show can be arranged in various ways, depending on the event, the best being a long, “imperial” table, in which case we are talking about 30 guests.
