Book in tower of la barca
lounges and open spaces
the era
From the Mirador we descended to La Era, which in the farmhouses was a high, open space open to the four winds, where the threshing and winnowing of grain took place. Here in Torre de la Barca, the threshing floor is a large terrace overlooking Córdoba that allows for numerous uses: carriage parades, performances, new product presentations, family photographs… and, of course, aperitifs, cocktails, and dinners during the most pleasant hours of the day.
The whitewashed pedestals with their canopies—a nod to the popular neoclassical style of the old gardens of Córdoba—and the border of oleanders delimit a space that, especially at night, is magical, especially when accompanied by flamenco.
